Joe Plummer debuted the Be Bop sized Player Date drums on Saturday Night Live on 03.10.12. He also had an additional 15×16 floor tom, which made for a really well rounded kit. Check out the spectacular performance of the Shins newest single “Simple Song” below…

Please take a minute to check out the national TV debut of the Player Date kit on the IFC spirit awards. We couldn’t be more honored to have Patrick Hallahan unveil the Big Beat drums on stage. If there were any questions about the stability of our vintage spurs, they’ve all been answered after Patrick powered through this tune. He asked that we send one to the lab for him to use on a current recording project, a good sign indeed.

We are starting to ship Player Date “prototype / early run” kits to dealers. They will be set up for folks to hear first hand. The official release date for the kit is set for March 31st. Also, there is some exciting news on the Player Date front. We are very honored that Mr. Patrick Hallahan is playing one of the early prototypes kits with the brilliant My Morning Jacket at the spirit awards in los angeles. Tune in tomorrow ( saturday night…the 25th.) for now…. check out the video that memphis drum shop posted of the kit.
