Doug MacGregor first came to notice as the drummer for The Constantines from 1999-2010 and 2014 to the present, following a reunion after a four year hiatus. They released three albums on Sub Pop Records, and a fourth and last album on Toronto’s Arts & Crafts Records.

In the interim, he played for John K. Samson of The Weakerthans , for the recording of his solo album, Provincial, which was released on Anti- Records in2011, and was touring drummer for the Provincial Band on three subsequent tours in support of the album in 2012. He has played drums for City And Colour since Feb 2013 to present. When not in the studio or on the road playing, Doug is home in Toronto cheering on the Montreal Canadiens by winter, and the Toronto Blue Jays in the summer.
